I've used the et streets before, and I think they are great. But the et streets aren't drag radials, they are a drag slick with JUST enough tread pattern to pass DOT standards. The only drag radial that I know of is by BFG, I haven't used one, but I've heard they're pretty good for the street/strip car.

I run BFG drag radials - 255/60/R16's - they are nice, not too bad of wear. Of course I only drive my Stang about 1000-1500 miles each year now. I have close to 30 passes on them with several burnouts and they still have tread. Great sticky tire on the streets but not the greatest on the track - stock suspension for me. http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/frown.gif

My street tires are Nitto Drag Radials (245/50/16). I used to race with them at the track. They work excellent on the street or strip & they are very good in the wet.

My current drag race tires are BFG drag radials (275/60/15). They work excellent at the track & so so on the street (not good in the wet).

So are you all saying that M/T aren't so great? Nowadays, I'm hearing Nittos and BFGs with slightly more preference for Nittos.

I'm looking for good drag radials that I can put on some used 15x8" rims and use only for track. So which should they be M/T ET Streets, Nitto Drags, BFG Drags?

From what I could see, Nittos come out to a lot less coin than the BFs...

I just got some Nittos imported to Canada, and they rock! I used to get a lot of silent spin in first gear, ... now all I get is a chirp and a go.

Nevermind! Just picked up some worn M/T's and some rims from a friend for a VERY good price.

Now I just gotta find someone to put em on the rims (Pep Boys said they wouldn't do it).

...May traction begin.....

I'm on my 2nd set od Nittos and love them. I just recently bought some welds and MT ET Streets for the track. I love the high RPM launches. http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/smile.gif

I have to say I had 11.5x26 ET Streets, and they hook good, but really not nearly as good as the ET Drags I have now. If your gettin a track only tire, go with a full slick. I have 10x26 ET Drags now and I can hook at any rpm launch.

Thanks for the added advice Skyman.

But I need to know, what size rims (diameter x width) are those on and would you still suggest full drag slicks such as the tubetype M/T ET drags for a high 13 second car?

My 69 mustang is almost turning into a drag only car. The only reason i have thought about drs is becuse i am still going to be cruising it to the saturday night hang out and stuff like that. I just thought it would be better to have a dr to do stuff like that. I would love to go to just a slick but don't want to spend the money on just a slick and not be able to make the local curise on saturday nights?
