Choosing the right heads
What's your experience with aftermarket heads for 5.0. Evertime I think I have finally decided, I read of hear something that changes my mind. I had decided on Trick Flow Twisted Wedge until I read the artile here stating problems with the guides and the recommendations of stripping them and replacing alll the valve train parts. A little expensive if you ask me. Does anyone know if you can buy trick flows stripped? I'm now considering Air Flow reasearch heads. Does nayone have any experience with these? These will be going on a naturally aspirated street car that needs to meet emission. Hope to have about 300-400hp at the wheels

Yeah, you can buy the Trick Flow TW heads bare. I've never really been a fan of them particularly, but they're good heads. The AFRs seem to be some really good pieces. AFR's been around for years making Chevy stuff so they know how things go. Brodix ST 5.0 heads are also a really good way to go. And while they're not all-out-balls-to-the-wall heads, Windsor Jrs are very good for the money and if you're on a budget.
