Flowmaster

I'm in the need of new flowmaster mufflers. I currently have the 3 chamber mufflers on, and when I looked up the new ones on the internet they have the 40 and 50 series (with Delta Technology too). I was also told that the 50 series is like the 3 chamber and the 40 is like the 2 chamber. The Delta of the 50 series has the most torque, too.

What do you guys think and recommend? I've liked my 3 chamber, but I want to buy what will give me the best torque/HP.

Thanks,
Brad

I'd go with the mac flowpaths. I don't want to start a brawl in here, but I had 2-chambers on my 92 for two years and loved them. Then I heard the flowpaths and got them for myself. Let me tell you, I fell in love with the car all over again. Do you want to follow the pack and sound like everyone else? The only reason I have flowson my 89 coupe is because the car is a pile and isn't worth spending the money on, so I used the mufflers off of my 92. Trust me, the flowpaths sound nasty, loud and crisp. After hearing these, flows sound like a$$.

Thanks for the replys. I am wondering, can you put other mufflers on a flowmaster force II exhaust?
I really want the muffler with the least amount of flow resistent.
Thanks,
Brad

Stay away from Flowcloggers, they are only slowing you down.Dynomax or MAC are my opinion. I had Flowmaster on my car and it went 11.2@123mph. With just a change in mufflers to Dynomax racemagnums, the car went
the best of 10.9@125mph.

It's your choice,but I would stay away!!!

Good Luck http://www.mustangworks.com/interact...board/wink.gif

You're talking about 4 different Flowmaster mufflers:

1. The Flowmaster 40 series are two chambers.
2. The 50 series are three chambers.
3. The 40 series Delta are the new design of two chambers.
4. The 50 series Delta are the new design of three chambers

The Delta Flow mufflers have a different baffle configuration, using "Delta" shaped baffles just inside the inlet end. It reduces resonance by about 30%, and it's supposed to provide a little more power than the old design.
