Oil gauge malfunction

on my mustang the oil gauge does not work on the dash. We bought another oil pressure sending unit to see if it would fix it, still no pressure reading. so we figure its the gauge itself. anybody know what might be wrong (short, gauge, etc...)
For now we bought a generic gauge and mounted it below the dash so I can see that I have oil pressure.

I am not a big fan of electrical gauges myself. A mechanical unit is far more accurate and reliable, at least I think they are. Buy a nice set of mechanical gauges and be done with it.

I just finished installing all of my autometer gauges, 4 of them, all Phantom electrical. They are great quality and work great!

I did get the oil pressure, a little expensive but MUCH better then the stock gauge.
