milk crate for a seat

My cousin/next door neighbor just droped the engine back in the 1970 Mach 1 he is restoring. The car has no front cap and no interior. But he's so excited he bungy corded a milk carton were the drivers seat was supost to be and drove it around the block a couple of times. I was laughing my A$$ off.

sounds like my kind of person. I had a buddy that was restoring a 65 here in hawaii last summer and he and I did the same thing. No hood or seats or any interior. We had just got it running by dripping the carb so we took it around the block. Didn't have a tank either....we were feeding the fuel line from a can in the car.....hehe..stupid but fun..

November of 2001 I will go back to Dallas.

Hey, that is fun. Kind of like cutting the roof off of a 198? Monte Carlo with a sawzall and driving around with lawn chairs. Poor man's convertible.

Interssting, I did the same things a few years back when I took my '82 to the welding shop to get new floor pans installed. They told me to have everything striped out of the car so they can weld plus it would save me money if i striped it and not them. So I took everything out and used a milk crate to drive it there the next day.

I did this on the first car I ever built. I used feed sacks though. Problem was, everytime I would stab the gas I would fall backwards and hit the roll bar. I only did that once.
