Almost Done with EFI to Carb swap
 

I'm almost done with the swap should be done later today or sat. I went with an e-cam, Eldelbrock Peformer intake, 600 double pumper, full msd, and a fpr. so with the pullys,full exhaust, and 3.55 gears this puppy should be move. Going to the track next weeked to try to beat my 14.14 time.

With good traction you shouldbe able to pull more than a 14.14. Just make sure you get it tuned right. There's nothing worse than a car with so much potential that runs like a dog just because it isn't tuned right. Believe me...I'm living that nightmare right now. Good luck man.

Just out of curiousity slowride90, what are you using for a throttle cable bracket? I was looking at a performer RPM manifold and I noticed the bolt holes for the throttle bracket go parallel to the throttle linkage rather than on an angle, mine wouldn't fit.

I'm almost done with my swap too. Unfortunately my project went way over budget. Especially when it came to the fuel system and unexpected probs. (I might make a separate post on all the little s*&% that can get out of hand). Hope you see some 13's.

For the bracket i got one of a 84 mustang at a junkyard for 2 bucks.

I went to the junkyard and I noticed that the 82 bracket is the same as an 85 bracket. Are the bolt holes for the throttle bracket on the performer manifold angled or are they parallel to the valve covers?

It's about time you all switch back to the good old, gas guzzlin, off idle slugish Carb!

Its parallel to the valve covers. And I also had to use the throttle cabe. It needed to be longer then the one on my 90.
