circumventing egr

I have a 88gt 5sp on witch the smog pump locked up out of curiosity what type of screaming would the computer (speeddensity)give if i got a shorter belt and took it out of the loop?

Nuth'n that I know of, I ran mine so long on a short belt, the smog pump siezed up, so I just took it off. Never thew a code

Umm....what does your EGR have to do with your air pump?
