Shaker ram air induction for '86-'93 5.0L's.....found a kit? opinions?
I found this shaker "ram air induction" kit for late model 'stangs. I didn't think something lik this existed. I think it looks cool, but i don't really think it's "ram air" because of the way the plumbing goes. What do you guys think of this kit? I don't think i'd personally buy it, but i do think it's pretty cool looking.
Here's the site i found it at: GEF Racing ------------------ previous name: 84stangLX '84 Mustang 5.0 LX my LX '89 Mustang GT my GT |
I think that it looks cool sticking out of the hood. I agree though, I don't like the way it looks under the hood. Something like that would be awesome on a carbed motor.

i've seen that before, good idea, but pretty damn expensive for not including the hood

What about adding it to a car with a blower. Could yoiu run the tube from the ram air to the filter box, then from the filter box to the back of the blower and would it help any?
I do like the looks, but I would consider it much more for a carb car. ------------------ '93 lx notch 4 banger (drive it to work currently), 89' 4banger in prep for all out drag car. Ram-air should work on any car as long as it increases the pressure/density of the air that the motor is sucking in and helps it draw cooler air.
