My car is finally getting built!!!!!!!
I just got off the phone with VOPC. It said:
"As of August 29, your unit is scheduled to be built week of August 27th with scheduled delivery date September 3rd" It's about time that I got my car. For anyone who doesn't know the story... My car was originally a dealer order. I was looking for a black 5-speed and the dealer didn't have any on the lot but said that they had one on order that was already built and waiting to ship. They told me this on July 5th so I put a down payment on the car. After a few weeks, I called my dealer and he said that he didn't know if the car was built yet or not. He contradicted what he told me 2 weeks before. I finally called VOPC 4 weeks ago to find out the status. It said the car was scheduled to be built the week of the 20th. Does my dealer call me to tell me the tentative build date??? NO. I called VOPC again on the 20th to make sure everything was on schedule. It said that the car wasn't scheduled until the 27th!! It got pushed back a week!! Does my dealer call me to tell me that the build date got pushed back??? NO. Has my dealer called me at all since I gave him my down payment (almost 2 months ago) NO. Will my dealer call me next week to say the car is built and should be there in a week or so??? PROBABLY NOT. I can't wait to get this car and get the away from this dealership. Oh, the name of the dealership is McCrakin Ford. The #1 Mustang selling dealership in the country for the past 2 years. You would think that they would have better customer service... I think for the delays they have caused you with no communication they should knock some moola off whatever you're paying. Regardless, just imagine how cool it's gonna be when it comes in!

HAHAHA, I'm way ahead of you on that one Brett!! I thought a nice hairy burnout on their lot would be the appropriate "thank you" for the pi$$ poor customer service that they showed. I think I'm gonna call them tomorrow just to let them know that the car is scheduled to be there the week of the 3rd.

When you get it, just sit there and do like a 5 minute burnout, then make them put you some new tires on for free. =)
