Attn: N2O and Blower Guys......

Last night I had something cross my mind that I want to try. I'm not sure if it will work, but if it does, then supercharging and Nitrous will never be the same.
Here's the idea: Take the ease of installation of N2O, with the reliability of a blower, and what do you get? Try a "bottled" Supercharger. You got it. Take a 25gal tank of compressed air, with all the hardware of a N2O kit, and you have a fully streetable, fully adjustable, fully controlable power adder. No more Nitrous explosions. No more expensive blower kits.

Sounds too good, huh? Well, I'm now very interrested in making a working model. It seems like it would be fairly simple to make, but I'm just speculating. Has anyone else tried this? If so, how did it work out?
Well, anyway, Just wanted to throw that out to see what everyone thought. Later.

I'm sure it's been done. I had that idea quite a while back. Question is, how do you get enough preasure into the intake? Beleive it or not, the preasure that exerts from a compressed tank isn't much depending on the diameter of the tube to the intake. Also, you are dealing with cold air compression, not hot air. So now you have to wory about water being shot into your intake. Big problems there. I'm not saying it can't be done, but whatever boost you got out of it probobly wouldn't last too long.

I'm doing the math now, and I'm sure that it won't work out right. I'm still going to try to put a working model together. For me, anyway, I have to try something hands on before I dismiss it. Besides, how else are you gong to realize the pro's and con's of if? Heh heh, if it does work out, however, won't it be great? Later guys.

I've done the math, and it seems to work out that I can actually do it. All the flow #'s seem to match up.
Keep in mind that this is just a THEORY. I'll let you know how the working model.....uh, works.

I should have one sometime by the end of next week, 2 weeks at the latest. Well, later.

air, huh?
how many cu ft of air do you use in a run?
how big of a tank will you need?
how heavy??

try LOX (liquid O2), but then, you are more of a bomb...
