Would I be better off getting a 95 5.0 or a 96 4.6
assuming condition of cars is similar, etc, the 5.0 is going to be easier to make fast for less money. "All" i am looking to do is break off some high 12's at the track and have it be a daily driver. What do you think? I need some advice.

I'd stick with the 5.0 since there are so many more options for you.

You can't go wrong with the 5.0L engine.
Lots of aftermarket available at good prices. The 1996 4.6L can move too, but takes a more money. ------------------ 1995 Mustang GT |
OK, I went through the same thing you did back in December of 2000.. I ended up driving a lot of mustangs, AND, after a lot of thought (actually it was 10 minutes) I went out and bought a 94 5.0
the 4.6 is great, especially since you can now dump 1999+ heads, cams onto the older 4.6 for cheap (check out ebay) But, the 5.0 has the aftermarket that is simply HUGE! (so many different ways to go fast!) But either way, you're getting a great car!! ------------------ 94 GT (triple black) FMS 95 17" Cobra R's / AL Driveshaft / 3.27's K&N, 12* timing, 180* thermostat, 190 lph MAC Shifter/Gauges/Pedals, Euro Clear Projectors & Corners My CAR! |
I have had a 96 gt not a bad car. It could put rice away but that is it. If u are looking for a high 12 second car the 5.0 will be alot easier not only with parts to chose from there is just more knowledege out there on them. Plus they are ten times easier to work on.
