Chat Room
 

Ok folks, I've just completed the installation of our own chat server and java chat client. It loads way faster, and lists who's on our server. Also, you won't get any server full messages like some times occurred with the chat planet applet. I have it set to allow up to 400 concurrent users, and this Ultra server will do it!

Spread the word, let's make the Chat room a popular spot on The Mustang Works again! (I can remember when we used to have at least 15 people in there for hours every night).

Also, maybe we can all coordinate a meeting time and get a load of us in there for a big huge chat. I'd like to test out the room with a big load on it. I need to positively know it handles it without flinching.. CAN WE DO IT?

Probably the best time to do it for most folks is in the evening. Probably about 8 pm on a weekday night. Would this be a good time frame for most people to plan a huge chat?

8 pm sounds good to me, just gotta pick a night thats all. also is that 8pm eastern or what time zone??

That would be Eastern time.

We are doing a chat tonight, and I know several users have said they will there. That's tonight, Wesnesday the 21st at 8pm.

However, the real, coordinated chat will be next week on Wednesday the 28th at 8pm. I will be sending out an announcement and putting it on the main page of the site.
