New Ads

Before anyone says anything, be patient concerning the new ads on the system. Many are delivered using IFrames, Layers, and rich media and are recking a little havock with the back button on your browser. I am in the process of converting the site back to having it display a banner at the top of every content page and I'll be eliminating the auto refreshing banner frame all together with in the next few days....

I too was concerned, but as I've said before, this site is in good hands.

Take care,

Read my post in the Blue Oval Lounge concerning this.. Do not use your browsers back button. Use the back button located at the bottom of this sites layout! It will work and not mess with the ad frame.

I tried using the "back" button at the bottom of the page, and it just sat there with the hour glass turning for two or three minutes. Gave up and hit the 'stop" button.

Hmmm, just out of curiousity, what browser are you using, what version, and what computer (platform) are you using.

I'm using Netscape 4.7 and IE 5.x and it works well. I believe I also testing it on Netscape 3 and IE 3 and it worked. But, let me know what you have.

The back button periodically does not work on both of my machines.

My work machine runs NT 4.0 and IE 5.0

My Home machine runs 98 and IE 4.72.3110

Dan I also have been having problems with the back button on the site.I'm using Internet Explorer 4.0

stangsrule 12-10-1999 04:27 AM

Me too and I am using IE 5.0

posey86gt 12-10-1999 04:11 PM

I am using IE 4.0 with Windows95. This is all on an 200MHZ Pentium "IBM Compatible" connected via T1.

Thanks for your hard work, Dan!

StangFlyer 12-11-1999 08:04 PM

Ok, just to make sure we are all on the same page everyone, I was talking about and referring to the back button provided in the site layout at the bottom-left of MustangWorks.com, NOT your web browser's back button. Is this the one not working for you? It should work perfectly for any 4.x browser, for sure.

Yes Dan, for me anyway the site back button as well as the browser back button both are acting up. Have to hit it once for every add that has popped up while I was reading, typing or whatever....

Rebel79 12-13-1999 10:41 AM

Dan, I have been using YOUR back button at the bottom-left corner since you put it there. I am having problems. NT 4 w/ IE 5. Win98 w/ IE4

posey86gt 12-15-1999 01:53 PM

Both "back" buttons are giving me problems.

joe4speed 12-15-1999 02:32 PM

Yes IE 5.0 and Win 98 and sometimes the crappy AOL browser too! I get it too!! My clicker finger is getting buff!!! http://www.mustangworks.com/interact...oard/smile.gif
