Capri306- Why do you feel the need to close a post? There was no fighting or flaming going on, and we were just having a good discussion. Dark Horse, who I talk to on the internet a lot is just frustrated cuz his mustang is falling apart on him. Does that mean you should close the thread? Hell no. What were not even allowed to bad mouth mustangs now or a thread will get closed? That sounds quite ridiculous to me. I hate my car from time to time when things go wrong, as does everyone, you ought to know that. You don't have to get power happy and just close a thread because you can. Thank you.

This concern has been solved through private E-Mail by our Message Board administrator, Mr. 5.0, and Skyler understands why the thread was closed now.

I would not be able to convey it any better than Mr. 5.0 did in his message, thus here is the message to Skyler explaining the matter.

Quote:

My view on your complaint is that the question posed by the originator of the thread was answered fully. Frankly, the later postings were basically just repeating the earlier ones (get an education, save your money, stop smoking, etc). This gets old.

Capri306 didn't consult me before closing the thread, but I know Steve well enough to be sure that he did what he thought was best for the message board (keeping it interesting and relevant) and not simply "because he could", as you rather negatively stated it. The fact that the last post contained complaints about a Mustang was a coincidence, certainly not a reason for closing the thread.

If you wish to communicate with another member on a more regular basis, I strongly suggest availing yourself of our Chat Room or another service such as ICQ, or the old stand-by, E-Mail. The message boards are meant for a wide audience, and even though the Blue Oval Lounge is an 'open' forum, site rules still apply, and messages and threads are subject to editing and/or deletion, as well as closure, based on the judgment of the forum moderator, Administrator or the site owner, Dan McClain.

I'm sorry that you disagree with Capri306's judgment on this thread closure, but his decision stands.

Skyler, I want you to realize that you're a valued contributor to our message boards and even though we may not agree on this particular, and rather minor, issue, I'll still look forward to your cogent input and contributions to Mustang Works Online.
