what happened to the SURVIVOR thread

on 8-24 I had a good discussion going about Survivor and now its gone. Do the admins get to choose what shows we watch and discuss or is this a server issue?

Dude, calm down. The thread hasn't gone anywhere. The system date and time got reset when I rebooted the Web server last night, and forgot to reset it. Any thread that was responded to while the date was set to 07-24-2000 had its date changed because of this and dropped back in the list like it had been originally posted back in July.

If you have a post that has vanished, you'll have to use the dropdown menu to select "Show Topics from last 45 days" and click go. You'll have to go back five pages to find the 07-24 posts. Once responded to again, it will move the post back to the lasted date and be on the top of the thread list again.

It's a conspiracy, I tell you, a conspiracy. I think the reverse vampires created by space aliens and supported by the Rand Corporation are behind it. Dan, are you a reverse vampire? http://www.mustangworks.com/interact...board/wink.gif

By the way, Dan, do you have a utility that can run through all of the threads and find posts with dates that are out of sequence so that they can be corrected? What does your UBB use for a backend anyway?

StangFlyer 08-25-2000 11:42 AM

No, there is no such utility. UBB uses all flat files for storage, and does not use a rational database.

It's only allowed (currently) in certain forums.
