My Signature
The photo in my sig quit working. Why?
Thanks for the help in advance. ------------------ 67 Fastback - Arctic White Pearl paint 351W 415 hp, Trick Flow Alum. Heads, C-4 Trans, 3.55 gears, Front Disc Brakes, 1-1/8" Fr. 3/4" rear sway bars. http://www.mustangworks.com/mustangs...1245-slot2.jpg |
Image linking with in signatures has now been disabled. This is because to many users are posting large dimensioned, big file sized photos in their signature. We've recieved a number of complaints from our modem users that it causes the message threads download time to take forever. There is no way I can regulate this, except to simply turn that option off. So, I did.
Quite frankly, posting photos in your signature isn't needed any ways. Simply post a listing in the User's Rides system and put a link to your listing and photos in your signature. See mine for an example. ------------------ Dan McClain, Editor The Mustang Works Magazine 1991 Mustang GT - NOVI Supercharged 377 Stroker 1999 Ford Lightning SVT - 2000 Prototype updated by Roush [This message has been edited by Dan McClain (edited 01-03-2001).] |

My little smilie face in a mustang still works. Does the server go with size of the image in signitures?

It shouldn't. Try it again... I just reset the configuration. If it does, then its because you already had your signature saved with the img tag before I changed the configuration not to allow them.
Admittedly, your image in your signature is probably mostly harmless. But, several members (you know who you are http://www.mustangworks.com/interact...d/rolleyes.gif ) have LARGE photos that are 50K+ in their signatures, and that's just plain ridiculous. Take a thread with several responses to it where just a couple members have pictures like that in their posts, and it's easy to see why it really annoys the members with modems, and not broad band. ------------------ Dan McClain, Editor The Mustang Works Magazine 1991 Mustang GT - NOVI Supercharged 377 Stroker 1999 Ford Lightning SVT - 2000 Prototype updated by Roush [This message has been edited by Dan McClain (edited 01-04-2001).] |

4D THNDR, what are you trying to do in your signature that isn't working?
