99 Cobra Dyno Results
 

Today I finally dyno'd my 99 Cobra, and heres the results:

HP 271.6 max (320.5 at flywheel w/ 18% loss)
TQ 277.8 max (327.8!!)

oh yeah, this is PRE FIX!!!!

talk about awesome! the car is bone stock save for a K&N and 15w50 Mobil 1.
when I saw the results I almost wet myself with giddy excitement.

It shouldn't have to be said, but CONGRATS! Ford should be able to deliver the car as advertised. Some of my faith in the Cobra has been restored. Good luck and let us know how you do with the Ford fixes.

Im interested as to see if I'll notice any changes... SVT told me ALL 99 Cobras have the bad mufflers, not all have the bad intake, etc...So maybe I'll get to 280+ http://www.mustangworks.com/interact...oard/smile.gif

Its weird.. I think I calculated incorrectly... if you figure 271 and 277 are 82% (18% loss) of flywheel HP, then according to the dyno Im making roughly 330hp and 340tq...!?!!!

After seeing 99 Cobra's being discussed at length The consenses is 272hp at the rear wheels is correct for the 99 Cobra if it's actually making the advertised HP claims.
Sounds like yours is right on the mark.
