70mm or Dremel inside of existing T.B.

Any help would be appreciated. lewillie ------------------ 99/ Silver GT 4.6 SOHC M.S. headers 3.27 |
I would do it right and go to the 70mm....
But if your lookin for more productive mods: Look at 3.73 Gears, pulleys, and even a bigger MAF may let your horse breathe better than just a throttle body alone... (It won't matter how big the TB is if its sucking through a straw... http://www.mustangworks.com/interact...board/wink.gif ------------------ 98 GT Bassani X-pipe, Dyno-Max Cat backs, 3.73 gears, Steeda shifter, FMS pullies, 87mm MAF, Roush cold air kit, Eibach springs, and Zex 75 shot |
Yeah. A larger throttle will cost you a good ammount of money and do not quite, but almost, exactly nothing for you at this point. I wouldn't bother until you do quite a bit more.
In my opinion the biggest mistake Ford made with the modular engines is that they gear them like they are 5.0s. Gears will make a bigger difference then anything you do short of a power adder. So basically, get a set of 3.73s, and forget about (for now) the throttle body. ------------------ '97 Cobra, K&N, Flowmaster, subframes, 4.10 gears, Steeda Tri-Ax shifter, Steeda G-Trac 3, Cobra R wheels w/ Goodyear F1s |
