An x-pipe will give a more balanced sounds but an H will give you better torque.

In general a cataltic X-pipe will give better perfomance then a catalytic H-pipe, but if you go off-road, generally, its the other way around.

As far as sound, and some minor performance, go for a chambered muffler with an H-pipe and a straight through muffler with a X-Pipe.

Question, who goes off-road with their Mustang? Well, see, when you said H-pipes work better for off road, does that mean gravel roads or what? Stupid question on my part, just curious! Thanks

An off road H or X pipe doesn't have any cats. Off road exhausts are not legal on public roads.

Did you ever see that Dukes of Hazard where they converted the General Lee to a monster truck sort of thing? http://www.mustangworks.com/interact...oard/smile.gif
