NX KIT

What are some of your guys 1/4 mile times, with a nx 75 hp shot. How much did you gain with it. Also has anyone run 100hp with no problems with the engine.

thanks

You can run up to a 150 hp shot of laughing gas on the stock 4.6. A friend of mine has it on his 97 but I haven't heard any times from him yet. I think it is Hammer that put a similar setup on his car. I can't remember for sure.

I have heard varying reports of just how much of a shot is recommended on bone stock 4.6 GTs. I have seen folks run into major problems with as small as a 100 shot, while others run 125-150 with no problems...
You also have to factor in the amount of use, the state of the engine, whether the plugs are gapped correctly....
(All that fun stuff)
I run a dry Zex 75 shot, its as safe and easy as you're going to get. It produces a nice, steady increase in hp and torque, has driven me to a 103 mph trap speed, and if I can get some real rubber (drag radials) and a respectable 60 foot, she'll be in the 13.7-13.8s

Not bad for a "slow" first generation modular... http://www.mustangworks.com/interact...board/wink.gif

Just to let you know, the Zex will not work on the 99-00 engines due to its returnless fuel system. Be sure that the NX system doesn't have similiar limitations...

As of right now there are no dry kits out for the 99/00 GT's due to the returnless fuel system. You can try a wet kit but to be honest I wouldn't risk my motor, some people have tried and suceed (for a while) others haven't. The NOS dry kit is supposedly being tested by Holley and will most likely include a chip when it's done.

Or if your like me and don't feel like waiting you can figure out how to convert your car to a return style fuel system and run a dry kit for a 96-98 GT/Cobra.
