what kind of mufflers to use w/ x?
 

alright, i heard that the x pipe likes straight flow thru mufflers better, is this true, if so what are some straight thru mufflers, i have been lookin at gettin soem 2 and 1/4'' flowmaster 2 chamber's welded in and then matchin that to a bassani x w/ cats, i know the 2 chambers are not straight flow thru, ...so what brands are? and what model of those brands...also, i heard dynomax suck....is this true?

Probably one of the best straight-thru design muffler available is the Dynomax Ultraflow. They are made of stainless steel like the Borlas, which by the way are also very good (but expensive). Dynomax has really done a lot in the past few years with thier muffs (including aggressive marketing). Flow master also makes some ST models.

I have a bassani x w/cats so I went with Magnaflows. They changed 4.6's high pitch sound with stock mufs to a more lower rumble especially at idle.

It really screams going through the rpms but the weird thing is, it sorta sounds like a z-28 .
