98 gt, gear selection?

do any of you guys have a 98 gt with 3.55's or 3.73's, if so what kinda gas mileage are you getting?

3.73s are widely reguarded as the best first mod for Mustang GTs. Great for getting your mod motor into it's power band quickly.
You will see a small increase in gas usage, but not much....

A worthy investment in my opinion...

I'm getting around 20 maybe a little better mpg per tank. I get low 20s on the highway. They are definitely worth it. Put in the 3.73s. I had the 3.55s before and I like the 3.73s better. Gas mileage improves around town, too, over the crap 2.73s.

I run 3.55s in my pumpkin because I choose the Roots style blower. Helps keep me in the power band and maintain useful gears for driving.

mpg 23 city and 28 highway. Average.
Either 3.73s or 3.55s are great in normal driving and limited spirited driving situations.
Diff in 3.73s and 3.55 is like 500rpms. Not a lot. Similar shift points.
