Home made Cold-Air kit Works.
 

Hello everyone.

Not sure if anyone remembers me or not, but I used to post alot here up until 3 or so months ago.

My friend Tim C with a 99 35th Aniv GT read about a homemade cold air kit. Last week, he went to Lowes and Home Depot and bought PVC pipe and some 3 inch rubber elbows and rigged up his own Cold Air kit. It looks good and it actually works, giving a noticable kick from 3800 RPM and above. I plan on doing the same to my 2000 GT soon. Just wanted to inform everyone, incase anyone doubted or was afraid to make there own. 35 dollars sure as hell beats 200 and some dollars for a aftermarket Cold-Air.

Well post some times and numbers as soon as we get them, but you can feel a diffrence. Oh and after doing this home made mod, disconnect the battery or pull fuse (If I remember correctly) 21 wait a few minutes and reconnect for best results.

You need to make the change at the track and see if there is a difference. I made my own cold air a while back and although it felt good on the street at the track it lost .10-.20.
