Intakes
Anyone used or have exp.with a K&N FIPK setup? Any good. Or do you have another recommendation on a good intake.....Thanks in advance.....GTRagtop

For what it's worth, Id skip the FIPK, and just put a filter in, I think youd save like $60, and I dont think there is a real worthwhile gain with the FIPK. Otherwise, you could do a cold air kit from like WMS racing, or MAC. Those kits come with a KN I think, and you'll see more of a gain than with the FIPK.

Your best bet is to stick with a drop in K&N. CAI do very little if not hurt performance on our cars. I've seen two cars on the dyno lose power using the MAC set up.

I may have to try that out next testand tune night. Put my stock airbox back on and see the difference with the MAC. I personally think my car gained more on top end with it, but I will check just to be sure.

I have a MAC cold air.
Car felt a little slower, but seemed to rev quicker, if that makes any sense? Oh yeah, it was noticably harder on gas. Save the money and get gears or something. |
Thanks to all who replied! I went out and got the K&N drop in. Works great! As for gears....based on another post I decided to go with 4:10's. Thanks again....GTRagtop
