Pictures of my new hood...
This is the hood I picked up in Bradenton at FFW this past month. Had it painted a week before the NMRA race in Reynolds. It's made by Kaenen and is very nice quality.

Car looks Bad*ss! I have 2 questions for you:
1. Is there any particular reason that you have turndowns on your car? Im thinking about doing it, so Im just wondering. 2. I notice that your headlight is removed, did you see any gain from just that? ------------------ Black 2000 GT Magnaflow Catback, K&N |
1. Two reasons actually. One it was hitting my rear suspension and got really annoying. Two no tailpipes equals lighter.
2. Just from that no. I have an open ended filter and it sits directly behind the headlight. If you have the stock air box it will do nothing. |
Thanks. One more Q: Do you know about how many lbs you save with the turndowns?

Awesome pics. The hood looks great especially in that blue.

Sweet looking car Mustang92, looks like mine except mines Laser red and has Draglites instead of dragstars http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/smile.gif.
How was the fitment of that hood with the fenders? [This message has been edited by Ares (edited 04-13-2001).] |
StoplightWarrior, it dropped about 10-15lbs total. Not much but combined with other stuff it all adds up in the end.
Ares, the fittament wasn't too bad at all. A lot better than other hoods I've worked with. Remember though this is a pin on hood so I have a little more freedom with working with alignment. The back inside edges flared out a little and I had to sand them flat to prevent them from hitting the fender but other than that and fixing a couple scratches from shipping it required very little prep work. |
