Broken T-45 need advice

Well I hade to leave the track after only three passes on my new Nitto's. They hook like a mother. Droped my 1/4 time by 4 tenths of a second. But I broke 3rd and 4th. I was thinking of upgrading the gears and syncros. What do you all think?

You break the gears, synchro, or shift fork? Cause 4th would be direct drive thru tranny.

Personally I would buy a Lakewood bellhouseing and bolt in a 3550TKO Tremec when I get money.

I am in the same boat right now with my 96 Cobra. I have screwed up synchros from first to second, to have them repaced, and have the tranny gone through, I got an estimate of between $700 and $900 dollars. I think for that kind of money I may just wait and put in a tremec 6 speed for only like $500 more.

The 6 speeds I've seen usually go for about $3K. Is there somewhere to get them cheaper?

I had no idea they were that much new, I was on a web site earlier that was selling them used, with warranty, between $1200-1500. As soon as I find it I will post it... Also have seen them on EBAY for right around the same price range.

Oh damn it. Left my catalog over at my friend's house. But the 2000 Cobra R six speed was much less then $3K. Less then $2k if I'm remembering right.
