Throttle Body for '96

Question regarding '96 Throttle body.

1) What is the stock size of the throttle body?

2) A buddy of mine is offering me a brand new MAC 70mm Throttle body, ported and polished to match the inside of the bore for $145 shipped. How much HP would that be worth? Also, it is it worth $145?

Thanks,

Mike

The stock TB is 80mm. I wouldn't think you'd want to go down in size on your TB.

80mm sounds too big for stock. I believe on my 99GT the stock TB was 65mm.

Okay the stock throttle body on a 99-01 GT is 65mm and the MAF is 80mm. I believe it's identical for a 96-98 GT. Upgrading this on the 99+ GT's has marginal if any gains so putting it on your car would do absolutely nothing if not slow you down.
