Aod tranny problems
 
Have a 1987 Gt and the tranny will not shift into overdrive goes into first and second fine but wont upshift any further.Put in new tranny and problem still exsits.PLEASE HELP!! Thanks

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the AOD has 4 gears, the 4th being overdriven. Will you car shift to 3?

It will not go into 3rd then.It shifts from first to second then doesnt shift anymore.Any help would be greatly appreciated.Thanks Rick

Is your throttle valve cable hooked up both ends and adjusted right? see www.baumannengineering.com for complete how to

Anyone else have any ideas regarding this subject, This is the same exact thing that lead me to my new tranny purchase, figured it was the 3rd gear clutch went south. Let me know, it would really save me some cash.
