Will 8" speakers fit in 91-93 GT doors?
I'm still trying to find a car, but when I do I'm going to move my current CD player, subs, sub amp, and front speaker amp into the new car. However, I will leave the old speakers in the doors of the old car since I had to cut to put them in. This means I'll be buying new fronts for the next car. I have my heart set right now on ID Chameleon 5.25" mids, tweeters, and crossovers which will be going into custom made kickpanels, and possibly IDQ 8's for the doors. Do the doors of these cars have enough room to mount an 8" speaker? I can space it somewhat if I have to, as long as there's at least 2.5" of clearance or so (next car will have power windows/locks). Anyone?

I think you can only fit upto a 6" in the door panels. At least that's all I've tried in my brother's 89.

Hmm, cause I don't think diameter will be a problem, mostly just depth. I'm not afraid to cut...

I think the depth would be alright, but the best thing to do is check. (maybe with a friend's car, or whoevers) I know I can fit my Kenwood 6" in the door panels of my 86 GT without worrying about the power windows or locks
