Yellow spots on my white paint!!??

What causes the small yellow dots all over my white paint? I know it isn't bug do-do, there aren't any (very few) bugs in Utah. You can't scratch them off with your finger either. I know it isn't a paint defect, because the white 2000 Peterbilt we bought brand new had them also. It seems like there are more every time I look! I don't know how to remove them since I don't know what causes them. Any ideas?

could be acid rain, do they wash or wax out?

They don't wash out, it is almost like it has eaten into the paint. I wash it every week by hand and park it under a carport, so it doesn't get rained on much. I am going to wax it using the three step Maquires system in about a month, so I will see if that helps. I thought the semi we owned just had a bad paint job, but now this car has the spots, too.

you might want to try this i don't know if it's available in your area, it's called greased lightning wal mart sell's it we sprayed it onmy wheel' & tire's & with out even scrubbing i just used my wash sponge all the brake dust & even the brown film that get's on your tires just rinsed rightoff , it is supposed to be clearcoat safe my wheel's are clear coated it made them shine like new , try it on a small spot that isn't visible.good luck.

I have to agree about the Greased Lightning. Not only will it clean the paint, it will pretty much clean anything else. It is the best cleaner I have ever found, but watch out for the fumes.....Smells really bad!

I was gonna say wax it. My black car gets whiteish gray spots on it sometimes... When I wax it they come right out!
