? on dr. gas x-pipes yo casper
How are the dr. gas x-pipes shipped, meaning do you have to assemble the product yourself. If so is it very difficult or fairly simple and worth the swap. I have longtubes on my 95 cobra with a off road h-pipe. I had a bassani x before my headers and it sounded bad. I hope to get that sound again.

I have the dr. gas x-pipe on mine (3") and it sounds great. I bought the universal x-pipe and it had to be assembled.
I don't know about the kit for your year and model mustang but I would think it would be an easy swap but I would have it welded up. |
The one made to fit is made for 87-95 so it doesn't fit well at all on the 94-95 cars, because of the different crossmember location, or the different exhaust, one of the two. But it does come in pieces and we beat the crap out of it tryin' to make it fit and it just wouldn't happen. I ended up goin' to a muffler shop and havin' them bend and weld pipe for it. You could go for the universal kit, i think that would probably work better. I really like the sound over h pipe, hardly any drone and i have turndowns behind the mufflers. I don't really know about power compared to h, but the sound is worth it IMHO.

I don't know about the specific kits, but here is a pic of the universal parts. I have put this setup on my 66 Mustang and my buddies 78 Vette. You get the center X and the four "legs". The legs are in their UN-CUT length in the pic
