This guy is a stang killer.

I have watched over the years as this guy spanks any and everybody that pulls up next to him. It is getting so bad the races by himself alot cause noone will stage with him. It seems like this guy can run as fast as he wants. He usualy runs a 10.5@125 and keep in mind that is at 3000ft. There are alot of cars that run a 10 or better over here but none of them kick as much @ss as this guy.

He drives grand national with a huge chrome turbo and a totaly worked over motor. He owns 6 grand nationals and wont even consider selling one. There are alot of grand nationals over here but everyone says watch out for the guy with the black rims.

It's all about money man...

If you've got the cash, it doesn't matter what you own, its just a matter of time...

Don't worry man, there are plenty of hardcore stangs that will take him.... maybe just not around there...;)

5.0 HO, it's time to spank this guy. Get a bank loan and buy a few parts. The Vortech S-trim supercharger, a F303 cam and ported Twisted Wedge heads on top of your 306 should scare him a little. If that's not enough, join forces with some other guys to build something wicked and make him your *****!

Mercury 11-21-2001 12:02 PM

Give me a time and place. No, it wont be me racing him, but there are a handfull of guys I hang out with on Saturday nights that have mid-low 10 sec cars. Several of which are Stangs. We'll striaghten him out! :D

Crazy Horse GT 11-21-2001 12:05 PM

send bri32z up there to spank his a$$ :D

topless tire fryer 11-21-2001 12:33 PM

Sounds like a road trip. Any of you low 10 second guys got vacation time coming?

Dark_5.0 11-21-2001 03:28 PM

It is unreal how fast those Grand Nationals are. As far as I know there is only one stang in my area that runs faster than this guy does only problem is his car has a 454 big block in it:rolleyes:

As for my car when the track opens back up next season I am gonna spray my car till it dies and then build a 331. Hoping for high 12's with my current set-up:D

SaleenGTS 11-21-2001 03:35 PM

Send him my way.....once I get my suspension, I can hang....I definately have the mph :D

haulin'balz 11-21-2001 04:28 PM

GN's are f'n sweet as hell. The only other car I'd get besides my Stang would be a National.

exgmguy 11-21-2001 05:49 PM

Yes, those cars are bad!

SaleenGTS 11-21-2001 08:54 PM

I love them as well. All of my friends hate them....they think they are ugly. I think they are beautiful cars....the power. The GNX is my fave....

Another great Turbo V6 is the Syclone and Typhoon. Something about that syclone and it's black paint and blood red decals that make me go crazy for that truck....beautiul..

When can someone drive to Odessa, TX and show him what the Ford Mustang can do? I don't have enough, but maybe a Mustang owner from Texas can beat his a$$. Isn't Mike Murrillo from Texas Jam Racing from Odessa, TX? He could spank this guy.

bri32z 11-21-2001 10:39 PM

Sounds like this GN is right up my alley. With the money situation better now I am shooting for high 9's:p Worked 18hrs today so I'm off to bed--later

69fastback 11-21-2001 10:49 PM

Where are all the bad stangs at in texas. I am sure there has gotta be some 9 second stangs running around there somewhere to had him his butt.

Murrillo is no longer with tx jam, he runs his own sh1t now, and tx jam WAS out of sanantonio, they put my clutch in a while back, but were bought out buy the guys that fabricated his cage, and do chassis work for murrillo,

69fastback, I promise you there is plenty of stangs that could show the gn the tailights here in tx, hey 5.0ho, since your in odessa, not too far from s.a. here, see if that guy will come down here to run on a 1yr old ihra track?

tell him he will get better traction, which he probaly would, it wouldnt take murrilos car to beat him (lol 7 sec ride sounds like a jet taking off), there is street stangs that run 9's here in sout tx, more 10-11 sec ones though, how about a 95 saleen powersteering a/c, street legal, 347 s-trim with a 50 shot running 140 mph traps?? that is just the begining, my friends 85 coupe should go 10.50's @125-130 on 150 shot and streets! we were gonna go tonight, but the track was closed down for holidays i guess:(

Go to www.teamextremeracing.com to see a 86 gt, that was running 10.1 on a sc'd 306, "jpumkin" a member here, and i are going sat to attend a car show at this guys shop.

There was some guy (early 30s) in town with one of his friends a while back while my Stang was still...well...nice...hehe....anyways, it was a black GN, and I could hear the turbo spool up on it very clearly. I still had my open 8" rearend with 3.00:1 gears. He was being a real cock when we were out cruising, and it was pissing me off. I followed him out of town thinking we were going to race, even though I knew he'd beat me, but then he just took off in a 55 zone. I followed him up to about 120, and he hadn't pulled anything on me at all. But then I realized what I was doing and got worried about cops. So I slowed her down and went back to town. Never seen the guy since.

I know they are fast. Damn fast. I think once I get my fastback done I'd be able to compete with one. I have added an Edelbrock 110 gph mechanical fuel pump, a TCI Break-a-Way stall, Currie rearend with 3.70s and Trac-lok, B&M street/strip shift kit, and B&M Supercooler tranny cooler.

That'd be a fun race. I'm looking forward to having my fastback done and being able to cruise around and find some races. Patience is a virtue.

I was just thinking the same Thing, Murillo's STREET car can wipe up that GN

I don't know if I like the Grand National as much as I like the way that turbo sounds. Any car that you put a turbo on like that is going to be fast and the sound just makes them that much more exciting. I'm waiting for the mustang to come out with a turbocharged V-8.:D Yeah right!!!!!!!!!! But any way it would be pretty awesome if they did!!!!!

Nitrous Al 11-22-2001 01:01 PM

Coupe5oh, it looks like that '86 GT is the car to challenge this GN. Are you guys going to go looking for him?

Here is the sad part, the guy with that flamed painted 86 gt just had a motor built 347 (r302) with the same blower and inductions, the old 302 ran best 10.0??, but i think it was just an a4 block, it lasted for a good while but finally cracked the block in half, the guy has also broke several t-5's and tremecs, now c4'd.

now for the sad story, i thought he had this posted on his page, but last time i was at the track, he was gonna tune his car, i was happy to see him there, every stanger loves his car, but to see if he can break into 9's, which he should of easily.

he spun the slicks half way down and ran 10.7, on his return from the return lane disapointed, he noticed it was acting funny, he parked, made some adjustments, and went to start it up...and KABOOOM!! sounded like a pipe bomb, the fuel pressure kept loading race fuel into his intake (he thinks) and when he went to start it, it blew the hood clean off! smashed the winshield, caught fire to his dash and interior:( that was a sad night, but luckily he wasnt hurt, judging from the pics, im surprised he's alive.

he is going to rebuild this car, he isnt done yet! but still many stangs aroun here to run low 10's, and a couple ls1's;)
