Too big of a fuel pump??
 

Is there such a thing? Can i put a 255lph pump in my car...or does it matter??

Sorry to jump in on your thread here PeTr0 but I'd like to know the answer as well. For instance, if my stock pump should happen to fail tomorrow can I just throw in a 190 lph in anticipation of things to come?

Yes you can have to big of a fuel pump. But a 255 isn't going to be to big, well it will be to big but won't hurt anything. and the good thing is when you go to do future mods you will have enough fuel for them.

exactly..255 is def not to big for a stock application..although if you plan on adding a secondary pump in the future(ie a blower) you should get a 190lph...255 is good for big all motor cars and ones with NOS but 190 is ideal with second pump

So you're saying the extra power drain, stress on the fuel lines, FPR, and other components is no big deal. Or perhaps the additional heat caused to the fuel pump motor itself do to the very high running pressure and backpressure on the fuel because of an overworked FPR is no big deal.

Okay that's good, I thought it might lead to premature failure of the FP like articles I've read seem to indicate.
