new clutch

hello everyone...

anyway, i'm going to be buying a 93 LX hybrid with a 5.0 dropped in it from a friend. i need to install a new clutch, and an AC compressor before i can finally start tearing people up..

what kind of clutch would you guys suggest? also, he mentioned that it would need a new clutch cable (so in the long run the clutch can handle the power). how long do you think it would take to do a clutch job like this and any other comments are appreaciated.

also, the ac compressor, how much would this run, and how easy is it to install it?

on a side note, i'm selling my 1990 acura integra so that i can move up to the 8 cylinder league and actually go fast.

CenterForce dual-friction is the way to go. Also when you drop your tranny, take your flywheel and have it ground proffessionally, replace your pilot and throw-out bearings, install a new rear seal. You may want to get rid of the stock quandrant which is plastic and go with a Steeda aftermarket quadrant, mechanical adjuster - which mounts on firewall and new cable. THe kit is $114.00.

unless you plan on having ALOT of power, the centerforce dual friction IMHO is too much money and too nice of a clutch for you

i'd go with either a motorsport heave duty or king cobra clutch, about $100 less than the centerforce. It comes with a new throwout bearing and pressure plate too.

call up D&D for everything, i got the HD clutch kit, new pilot bearing, new clutch fork and adjustable cable all for like $300 shipped (i needed it all for the T-5 swap)
