302/351w starters...interchangeable??

I want to install a starter form a '94GT on my '82GT which has a 351w. Will it interchange?

It should, but you are going to have to check them together. I know they are as far as bolting up, but the depth of the drive gear was different for different transmissions (auto vs. stick), and different years.
