Tranny is really ticking me off now

recently (3K miles ago) i had a king cobra clutch installed....when the engine is off it slides into gear like butter....however when the car is running it will not go into any gear...any suggestions.....does the cable need to be adjusted or is the tranny shot..any ideas.

Sound like th cable it misadjusted... have you tried to adjust it yet?

Yeah, it sounds like you clutch is still "dragging" a little when you disengage it. All it probably needs is an adjustment.

This is assuming that they installed a new pilot & throwout bearing when you had the clutch done.

Jack up the car... on the housing you'll see a little black cover that conceals the cable adjuster & end of the clutch fork.

Remove the cover.
Tighten the adjusting nut...test it out see if it'll go into gear.
Repeat until it works correctly.
