Questions Regarding Drag Wheels and Tires
Currently my car is set up to handle. I would like to change that so it is set up for straight line since I am a drag race fanatic. Right now it rides on ponys with BFG G Force KDWs, BBK springs, and Edelbrocks IAS shocks and struts. The car handles beautifully as it is but I would like to change the suspension for drag racing. By the way the shocks and strus, and tires are a month old.
I plan to sell the above mentioned stuff and get into drag shocks and struts, edelbrock drag spring kit, and a set of wheels and tires for drag racing. My question regards the different wheels sizes and styles available. I was thinking about the drag lites, bit I think they would look bad on my car, a 91 GT that is strawberry red with titanium colored ground effects. What do you guys think? |
Global West recommended this setup to me a while back for a drag/handeling suspension. As you know its hard to get the best of both worlds, but check this out:
Something similiar to Meir Racing springs or Global West springs Koni Double Adjustables in back, singles in front Global West LCA's. With that setup you can change the stiffness and rebound in the shocks to go from drag to road course. However I will be going double adjustable all the way around. :D |
