low oil pressure?
i just recently rebuilt my 302 all to spec, new oil pump. the whole nine yards. the factory oil pressure guage is always on "A" or "L" of NORMAL(on the gauge) and i've seen other mustangs with factory motors and their guages are on "O" and "R" of NORMAL. do these guages have a margin of error or what?

I know mine sits on the O or the R, but I have seen a few that are lower. I wouldn't trust that O/P guage as far as I could throw it though. Get a quality gauge - then you'll know the truth.

I agree with n8s_stang. I didn't trust my gauges after the car overheated, so I bought an Auto Meter oil and temp gauge. The oil definately works because you can see it rise and fall in pressure depending on what the car is doing. With the oil, I was able to attach a "T" fitting to the factory sending unit so that I wouldn't have a dead gauge on my dash. Good luck.
