Today the wife, her dad, and I stopped in at Mark Ray Motorsports, and were chit chatting about the next mods for the Cobra. We mentioned that we were looking for a MAF, and TB. His eyes lite up and said that he had a deal of a life time for us.

Check this out.....He had a BBK 70mm TB, a 75mm Pro-M meter, AND a extrude honed '94-95 Cobra upper for.......just guess......come on....guess......


Get ready for this.....$400.00!!!


He basically gave us the upper for free, because he knows that we want to make the Cobra a R clone, eventually. So we baought a MAF, and TB, and he gave us the upper.

The bidding starts at $200...J/K!! :D

I have a neighbor that keeps letting her dog crap in front of our apartment and she doesn't clean it up. The worst part is she always carries a pooper scooper. I am very seriously considering giving her one of these door step delights as a Monday morning wake up call some day.

Do you think this too harsh, or should I take it up and notch and leave a present on her car?

Mark Ray in NC right? Wow, you must spend mucho $$$$ there because it seems like he's one rude guy if you dont. When we were down in FL for the NMRA season opener last year, we saw him in some Vic he was hopping up, and one of my buddies tried to say hello and say what nice cars he built, and the dude just turned his back on him and walked away like he was beggin' for change. I could NOT believe it my mouth just dropped to the floor at the gall and lack of good manners. He does, however, build awesome cars. I've always been impressed at the work he did on Mike's old cobra.

Unfortunately, I see that type of elitist behavior at many(not all) performance shops: basically you dont get treated kindly until you flash the bucks. When I was shopping around for a place to do my motor, all the rude jerks that didn't take me seriously or at least afforded me the minimum amount of decency were immediately Xed off the list.

Who says kindness doesn't pay off (almost $8k later :D )


Anyhoo, enough of my babbling, CONGRATS on your great deal! I got a similar deal on my GT40 and 70mm TB and I'm vurrah happy :cool:

Sorry to hear that Mark was like that. I can't say that I've ever seen him do that. The guys at the shop have that attitude, but they are just jealous of everyone(my opinion anyway).

He may have had something on his mind or something. You know? I am the first person that everyone seems to think I hate them just because I am preoccupied. Not saying that this is the case, but you never know. Anyway, just thought I'd say something inhis defense, without it being in his defense. Wow, I even lost myself on that one.
