Hi! New here... some pics of my Relic!

These pics were taken at a local car show this summer. Sorry, I was dumb and didn't think to take any of the interior.

Car is a 1970 Mustang Grande. I believe the vinyl roof was only an option on the Grande's.

Notice the crome grill? Apparently, another Grande-only thing.

Rear tires are 295/50/15's

Engine is a 351W
150 Shot of nitrous
stock heads, machined for 1.94/1.60 valves, ported, polished, and gasket matched.
128* duration ISKY cam at 0.05" lift, .528" total lift
Holley 750 dbl pumper carb.
Edelbrock performer aluminum intake
Pertronix electronic ignition conversion, jacobs wires, accel supercoil
Full length headers, dual exhaust, super turbo mufflers, H-pipe
Lotsa other stuff... approx 300RWHP without N2O

The stereo amplifier in this pic has since been upgraded to a 1000W Clarion Class D beastie. The plexiglass plate it's mounted on has a blue neon tube in it and glows blue when turned on. Also, the panel that the plexi-glass plate is mounted on folds up and latches by the trunk spring. This leaves me with a little more than 1/2 of my trunk space and protects all my goodies

Doh! How come the IMG code is turned off? It's much nicer to just have the pics automatically pop up instead of having to click on each link!

very nice car, but you got to do something with the back tires, there not suppose to stick out. Leave them flush with the car and the lines of the body will flow better.

I agree. When I decided to start fixing up my stang I was only 18yo, and when it came down to tires, I was like "What's the widest 15" tire you can buy"? According to the Tire-store guy, those that you see there are it! 295/50/R15's.

On the plus side, I get amazing traction!

Cool! What's your gearing? I still have to wait 'till 2nd before I can hit the magic button!

j's69stang 12-09-2001 07:40 PM

Very nice, almost the color of my Mach. As for the tires, it might be the offset of the wheels . I have 275/60/15's on mine and they don't stick out. RAY

So are you telling me that my "body lines" don't "flow"....hehe....I have 295/50/15s mounted on Centerline Autodrags...I personally like the looks a lot, and I get a lot of compliments on them.

And I don't just like them because I'm 17!!!:p :D

I don't think mine stick out as much as 70_Nitrous_Eate, and I don't have as much of a gap between my fender lip and tire surface as he does.....I have the stock ride height, no air shocks, no high lift springs...just some new heavy duty springs....

Hey that is a nice car. The tires don't look bad to me. Hey what ever it takes to get traction. It is hopeless in my case I gave up on trying to get traction with the amount of troque the dang thing puts out.

1969Mach1 12-12-2001 04:12 PM

lol Gotta love it when you complain that your car has to much power. :D

6T9PONY 12-12-2001 10:55 PM

Yeah that would be nice to complain about too much power.....maybe someday......haha.......

mustangman65_79 12-13-2001 04:25 AM

Ya, same here, I wish I could complain like that, but mine sounds like this "Damn, wish I had this car finished" Or "Damn, I need more money for this car"

1969Mach1 12-14-2001 04:51 PM

lol Don't worry alot of us are in the same boat as you.

69fastback 12-16-2001 02:09 AM

Well i just bought a whole bunch of suspusion componets for the car maybe it is going to help out. I think the only way i will ever have tractions is with some 10.5 slicks. Street tires just don't cut it. Know if i can find a new carb i think i might be half way happy with the car.
