the 302 (306) is a windsor motor, the cleveland is a 351. Where are you trying to get valve covers from that's asking you that question?

I am not sure exactly what year the Cleveland was produced but I know it was only one year and it wasn't 88'.

Cleveland's were produced from 1970-1978, they went into the Mustang from 1970-1973.

The Boss 302 was a canted valve, semi hemi engine (never named Cleveland) that was produced from 1969-1970.

It's been a LONG time since a Cleveland was placed into a Mustang from the Factory to sell.

According to my parts books, clevelands were produced from 70/73 and modifieds were from 74 on. Either way the factory never put a 351 in a 88 stang weather a windsor or a cleveland. If it is a 351, someone put it in there. RAY

yes my engine is a 302 bored to a 306. I am buying the valve covers from JEGS. They are the Ford Motorsport polished aluminums. part number 397- M-6582-E302. and they have the same valve cover for a cleavland and i just needed to know which one. I hope that they fit on fuel injected stangs cause i read in another catalog under the same covers that they didnt fit efi stangs. well thanks again for your help. i will have the stang back on the road soon after i put the crane cams energizer 1.7 rockers on and ill have pics.
