Here's the engine compart of the fastback when we had it all torn down. We replaced the front 3 sections of metal due to rust and other damage.

The car looks like something that's worse than at a junkyard!!!!

Hey Pony, that looks like one of my front end allignment jobs, LOL. And I wonder why my front tires don't seem to last?

Yeah Rev......that things pretty bad!!! There weren't even shocks on the car when it arrived......and the alignment is WAY outta whack......

Here's a pic of the car when the truck pulled into our driveway.....me, my dad, and my dad's 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee are in the background......

Loaded Trailer

Man that little truck and trailer is loaded isnt it. I mean that is unsafe pullin that kinda weight with such a small Truck and trailer.

Just kiddin. It look like it will make a nice car. If it in as good shape as the coupe when you get it done it will be nice.

6T9PONY 12-12-2001 10:43 PM

Oh man.....it will be NICER than my Coupe! I decided that since I've already had good practice on the coupe, I need to do everything on the fastback just as good or better if I can.

I can't wait!!!!!

600!!!!!!!! Tireburner.....here I come!!!!!

1969Mach1 12-12-2001 10:46 PM

Nice Nice, I know you know how to work your magic. I'll post some pics of my stang when I bought it as soon as I get them scanned. I regret not getting any pics of the old white interior before I got it changed.

6T9PONY 12-12-2001 10:48 PM

White interior huh.....I don't think I would have liked that.....black is the only way to go in a muscle car!!!!!

1969Mach1 12-12-2001 11:00 PM

Well like I said before I changed it. =) It's getting redone black interior with a red accent on the seats. And the rear inner 1/4 pannels we bought black vinyl paint and took off all the trim and painted it black and I must say it came out very very nice! No one knew I painted them. I'll show you pics, honestly it is hard to tell the difference. I did the roof, the visors, and 1/4 pannels. I am buying new door pannels. I got the deluxe ones so it's going to cost me a good amount. I just need the shell, not the carpet or wood so that is going to save me a fair amount of money. The previous owners I guess started to restore this car so I am just taking over where he left off. The good thing is the engine is done. :D Well it's done but not with me. After everything is done I will BEEF it up. :D

I thought my car was a mess. That car will look good when u get it done. I bet ppl are begging u to fix it up like the '67 GT-500 in "Gone in 60 Seconds".

6T9PONY 12-13-2001 12:48 AM

Nope...hehe.....haven't had any "Eleanor" requests yet...hehe....I have had a lot of requests for fixing it up just like my coupe...so I suppose a lot of people will be getting their way!

mustangman65_79 12-13-2001 01:19 AM

I know around here, thats all I would here. Although it's not a bad idea, but I don't like to copy ppl. I'd do it my own way, what motor does it have, or do u have one???

6T9PONY 12-13-2001 01:35 AM

It had a 351C in it. I pulled that out and sold it for $900. I put in my Windsor, with a couple new goodies, from my coupe (in sig). I added the TCI stall and the 110 gph fuel pump. I'm hoping this 3000 pound car will get me right around a 14 flat. All I need now is an electronic ignition and the Edelbrock RPM heads!

mustangman65_79 12-13-2001 01:49 AM

Did u stroke out the Windsor? What kind of cam are u running? I wish I had about $500 because a shop here was selling a 351C never used, that had 190Lbs per cylinder. Don't know what kind of compresion that is.

6T9PONY 12-13-2001 01:58 AM

My Windsor has stock bottom end. Stock bore, stock stroke. I have an Edelbrock Performer RPM cam. 224, 234 duration. .496, .520 lift. It has a pretty rough idle. Nothing drastic or anything. But enough to get noticed!:D

Here's another pic I got in an email....

Bush, the "Turbanator"

mustangman65_79 12-13-2001 04:08 AM

Nothing aginst you, but I would have left in the 351C. But thats me. I'm a big fan of that motor. I think the 351W ia great for smaller cars or newer because the 351W Block is smaller and easier to fit in a smaller car.

mustangman65_79 12-13-2001 04:09 AM

Hey, for $100, I can get u a 429 Complete-running, but needs a rebiuld. But there's an idea for u.
