what do you guy's think

about a roll cage, i have mm subframe connectors right now and they seem to be holding up to the torque, is a roll cage worth the cutting there gonna do to the interiour of your car(rust)and weight.i haven't run this car at the track yet and on the ingine dyno the 306 is producing 454 horse@5600rpm and 413torque@4800rpm, really don't want to twist my car on launches, are the subframe connectors, strut tower brace and k-member brace good enough?

Yeah they are good enough. A cage will just stiffen your chassis more, plus it'll add protection. Why don't you want a cage? There isn't much if any cutting to the interior required? Just pull your carpet out, and do some welding. By looking at your hp...your probaly going to be running 11's or faster, so your going to need a cage anyway if you want to race at the track, good luck.

well

i don't want to add more weight to the car or hack it up, what kind of cage do you suggest? my concern is that i will twist this car if i use nos hole shot with slicks.i just have way to much money into this car to twist it up.my biggest concern is rust and by welding or cutting your aiding to rust are you not?also i am having a tire rub problem when i turn into a slight incline.the rear tire will rub depending which way i turn on the very inside of the wheel well, i had a shop add the panhard, torque arm and lower control arms and remove the quad shocks and upper control arms.they have no idea to why this is doing it but suggest that i put the upper control arms back in, won't that take away from the performance of the panhard or torque arm??could tire size be the prob? 275/40h/17 or is the torque arm, panhard installed or setup wrong?
