another accident
 

I was on my way home from worjk with a load of pointsettias in the back seat. My mom had been bugging me to bring some home for the last week( i work in a flower greenhouse). i turned a corner and a few of the many ponitsettias fell over. I went to pick them up and wehn i turned around i was heading towards a tree and a firehydrant. I managaed to miss the hydrant put clipped the tree. The front end is completely fucked. The passenger side door won't open because the fendser is all crumpled and pushed into it. hood is all bent up. front bumper is pushed over and no paint left on the passenger side and its all bent. The drivers side fender is bent and the windshield is cracked. Both the headlights and 1 of the foglights are junk fan is in the shroud. and the ball joint snapped
I am pissed off that i was that stupid and i got lucky because the cop dropped it from careless driving(6 points $350)
to fialure to stay in lane (2 points $110)
I was goin 20-30 kmh when it happend and wasn't being stupid(tire spinning wise) plus my mom knew the cop. The ppl's whos tree i hit were really nice and invited me in to use their phone and asked whether i wanted to wait inside but i declined.
I feel so stupid

i am not going through insurance because it will go sky high so i hope its no more then 1500-2000(keep the fingers crossed) i am going to get the fenders out a junk yard and maybe the hood also depending on the cash flow

Don't worry man, I know how it is to go off road. =) I missed 2 tress one on each side by a foot and stopped about a foot and a half infront of a big tree when I got into my accident. I went back to where it happen and it was I could of been toasted bad if I hit one of those trees.

Yeh, one of these days I have to go back and ask the lady if I could get a copy of the pictures, you should of seen the **** I did, my friends that went back asked how I managed to do it. I believe the damage on the van was $4200. Eek. But only a $500 deductable that my dad picked up. This is all Canadian might I add. :D

Hey man, at least you're not hurt.

At least the car sounds fixable. But one thing you didn't mention was the frame. With the contact point of the accident, the frame is in high risk. Make sure you check that too.

wow dude that sucks that is not cool at all. I hope u can get that fixed. I can't believe they gave u a ticket. Talk about adding salt to the wound. That would piss me off more than the wreck.

i was thinking maybe getting a 4 banger notchc and converting it to a 302 if i can find a clean 1 cheap enough

I was sellimy mine for $700. But now that I have a 302, I'm converting it to a 302. I fiqured with a perfect body, rebuilt motor and tranny, I should be able to get around $4000. What do u think. Fairly new paint job, perfect body, rebuilt motor and trans, new rear tires, 8.8'' rear, crome wheels.

I hope to. I need to fix the ruber front, it had a hit and run a year ago. Interior isn't that bad, it has '92 T-Bird front seats, drivers elec.

What do u think it's worth??
Is there anything else u need to know about it?
