2001 cobra

i have a supercharged 2001 mustang cobra with 490 horsepower, this is a ton of power and i am wondering what drivetrain and suspension modifications should i make??

I would go for the beefed up version of the Viper/Cobra R T56 6-speed, a better clutch, some hardened axles, and some gears. Probably looking at around $4K for that setup.

Currie makes a great rear set up for the Mustang (swap the independent)...when I was on the dark side, they put together a 9" rear out of a Comet to bolt into my F-body...never had one bit of a problem putting it in or performance.

The Viper T56 will not fit in the Mustang and the Cobra R T56 has the same ratings as the T56 from the camaros. I'd personally go with the TKO with scattersheild to be safe and track legal. Then just build up the existing 8.8 it is more than strong enough for you power level with better axles and differential.
