Changing conv. top color
 

Alrighty everyone...I was thinking about buying a black top for my vert...(it's currently white)...the interior is white leather...But I really want a black top I dont' really mind if it clashes that much...but neways, I know I can get a top for like $200 bones...but my friend just informed me today about dying it...Is this possible...if anyone can help me out on what I need in order to do it and everything that'd be cool. thanx a lot. adios

I had the top dyed at the rear window. The top was white but needed to be replaced. It seemed to catch every piece of dirt and greese possible. I had the top replaced with a black one and let them dye the piece near the back window. This was a little over 2 years ago and you cant tell the difference. I personally like the way the black top looks on the white car. It breack the body lines up a little.
If your interested in what it looks like let me know and I can send a pic. The only diff would be the lx-gt ground effects.\

didnt have to mess with changing tops on mine but dad did last fall. a black top will keep alot better than a white one but let a pro handle the install and do your homework on the tops, cost the same to install a junk top as it does a good one

thanx for input guys but does anyone know where I can buy this dye...or will a dealer have it or what?!
