moving

Hey all, I'm moving to Arizona, and taking my baby with me. We are trucking it and i have a trailor for the 'stang. It's completely off the ground. Does anyone have any advice/recommendations to protect my gal on the road?.
I have a cover and i am debating leaving it on , is that legal?! :p
Thanks in advance!

My Opinion
Don't leave the cover on. The wind will wip it and it could wear or scratch the paint, and it just aint worth it for what probably isn't a problem anyway. If the car is too valuable to risk a rock chip, you need an enclosed trailer.
Get out and check your car often in the first two hours. After you put it on and cinch it down it will shift slightly on the trailer once you get moving. I stopped at 15 min and then every 30 min in the first 2 hours. Really was set after two stops. Also every 2-4 hours get out and check your wheel bearings on the trailer. Put the back of your hand aginst the hub part sticking out. If one is really hot (hotter than the rest, the temp will surprise you) you are loosing a bearing and will need to replace it asap.
Sit back and enjoy getting to watch your car in your rear view mirror all day and watch the trailer and the car absorb road bumps, it is truely funny to watch.
Also, get comfortable with the breaking and handeling of your trailer at low speeds before you hit the interstate for the first time.
Good luck.

Thanks Thunderbolt.
It probably isn't the wisest thing for me to leave the cover on then. As much as i'd hate it anyway, my girl can stand a stone chip or two!. I need a paint job real bad! (understatement here! lol, she's 3 colors  )
And hey, thankyou for the advice about the wheel bearings...i hadn't thought of checking them.
I will definately enjoy watching my car in the mirror!. ;)
