Try Powerheads.com $675.00 exch.

Hope that helps,
Bill

don't waste your money on Powerheads, I've heard numerous people say they aren't worth the money at all.
For just a few hundred more you can have a much better set of aluminum heads.

Do the work yourself (like I did) and it is very much worth the time you'll spend on them. Plus if you mess them up, you can find a replacement stock head for very cheap (Ebay or classifieds).

2FastLx is selling all the parts from his car and he may still have his ported E7 heads. He's a machinist and knows what he's doing so the heads were ported well. They flow pretty well, his car ran pretty strong with them. Give him an email and see if he's still got them, he'd probably let them go pretty cheap

Gasket match lower intake to intake port on head and smooth out runner, bowl blend and reshape valve guide. On exhaust side gasket match port, take thermactor hump out smooth with top of runner and reshape valve guide and bowl blend. You will be happy with the work you have done. Take you time and smooth rough casting as much as possible. Good luck with what ever way you deside to go.

Ebay rules

I got mine off of ebay...I had my buddy look at them when I recieved them, He worked at a machine shop rebuilding heads for 5 years, my heads had the best port and polish job that he has ever seen.

I paid a whopping $192.00 for the heads plus $80.00 for shipping

In any given week there are almost always port and polished E7's on ebay and they usually go for about $220.00

poopstang 01-12-2002 10:36 AM

Dark_5.0 what do you run?

I run 13.82@100.3 with the setup I have now.
b303, 70mm, pullies, fireball ignition, 15 degrees timing, full exhaust and 3.55's

The cam and TB do me no go with stock heads and intake

Poopstang, just buy a pair of M-6049-P303 GT40P heads. Don't waste your time on the stock E7TE's. They run about $270 each.

poopstang 01-12-2002 12:27 PM

But then I have to get new headers

Dark_5.0 01-12-2002 02:02 PM

To be honest with you I do not know what I run since I put on the new intake and heads and subframes. The track does not open until March.

Ported E7TE's are the benchmark for a waste of money, to get them to really work, and I'm speaking from plenty of experience using them, you can have a set of stock Aluminum or Steel heads that will do much, much, better. (GT-40, TFS, etc.)

Forget it!, put $200.00 more into your project and you'll do alot better!

Good luck:D

Oh please!! Plenty of people go 12's with port and polished E7's I would bet money that mine would outflow some GT-40's.

Alot!! of my friends have knocked off 3 and 4 tenths with ported E7's.

Lets see I paid about 350 total after 3 angle valve job. Compared to 675-1000 dollars Oh yeah!! I feel cheated:confused:

MiracleMax 01-14-2002 09:00 PM

Yeah it can be kinda pricey to port a set of E7's, for 1200 bucks I got a set to flow about as good as a some windsor jr's.

vande97 01-14-2002 10:16 PM

I have a set of E7,s they are ported on the exhaust side, but other then that they are stock. but they only have about 2K on them, i just had a 306 built for me and the guy that built it for me found a brand new pair so they are quit new. but i need more power and for what i plan on doing to the car, but if you are intrested and have a price in mind of what you might want to spend give me an email, i will be pulling the heads off proble next week anyway. let me know:)

Dark 5.0!, I know alot of people go 12's with ported E7TE's, that was not the issue.

I went 12's with BONE stock E's, my point was and still is, they are a waste of money, they are way to limited and offer nothing to build on.

Name me one serious player in any Sanctioned Racing Series running E7TE's and being successfull...you can't.

Go onto the Corral and look into there tech articles and you'll see how much of a waste they are.

If I was racing in sanctioned races I would not have E7's either.........The point was running faster with ported E7's.......Now tell me you dont run faster with ported E7's.....You cant, if you can get port and polished E7's for under 400 dollars it is money well spent! IMO

Port and polished E7's are a good route for us speed density guys to go to avoid idle problems. "Never mistake opinion for fact" you have yours and I have mine.

gtsr515 01-16-2002 07:26 PM

Your right, but wouldn't it make much more sense to spend $200 more and get a set of, say, stock Iron GT-40's and go 8 tenths faster than spend $400 on "E7's" and only pick up 3-4 tenths, depending on how well a port/valve job was done, at least with the GT-40's you know exactly what your getting into.

Hey, no flames bud, I am just the "do it right the 1st time type", hope I didn't come of like a weiner! LOL!

Later!:)

fiveohpatrol 01-16-2002 08:02 PM

Where does this 8 tenths faster from unported gt40 irons come from? 9
Theres no way a car will pickup that much time with JUST the addition of the GT40's. Maybe 9-9 tenths if you go from stock heads/cam/intake to PORTED GT40s with an aftermarket cam and intake, but no way with just the heads.

Yes stock GT40's are better than highly ported E7s, but not much. I had a chance to look at a set off of a 95cobra and the ports on them weren't any bigger than after I was done porting mine. The valves are bigger though.

gtsr515 01-16-2002 08:38 PM

I have no idea what your talking about?, do you?, I NEVER said that GT-40 Irons ONLY will give you 8 tenths.

did you not say that?

You didnt say that it would gain that much with ONLY the heads, but thats the way that I read it. You didnt mention anyother mods and you only included prices for the heads, so thats the way I took it.

no need to get flustered about it, sorry, i misunderstood you
