Thinking of using zMAX in your vehicle? Read this first...
There was a thread on using zMAX, a Carol Shelby and A.J. Foyt endorsed engine/fuel/tranny additive, at a truck site I belong to, and thought this link was worth sharing with anyone here considering buying it:

what?? you mean it doesn't work??
carrol shelby and a.j foyt said they work, and they wouldn't lie would they?? |
Another additive is actually a load of smelly/smushy brown additive. :D

That stuff is crap too. Here's the info about the lawsuit the FTC filed against PROLONG. Take care, -Chris |
Tell us something we dont know. Well, I guess your right, there probably are mustangworks members mis-informed enough to actually purchase this crap.
Im sure everyone appreciates the info. |

"They" don't let me out much, though. Take care, -Chris |
Ya know,if people would just change their oil on a regular basis and/or with the help of synthetics(mobil 1-fully synthetic) you wouldn't need all that "fix your rings, seal your bearings" crud...LOL-
sheesh-too many late night info commercials for some people.. if you really think it works-I have a pair of E7s(stock) that I found out flowed better than some AFRs for 1100.00 --LOL |
yeah, its really amazing that some people will believe EVERYTHING they read.
If it says it works on the bottle, it must! Yeah, get a life. PKRWUD- why do u trust slick 50? Werent they also mentioned in the FTC suit? |
My idiot ex-girlfriend is the daughter of one of the head guys of prolong, I think a partial owner. She's a f--k-ng mess, so I can only imagine what her dads like. I wouldn't buy sh-t from that company, she had all kinds of stuff like window cleaner, etc. from prolong, none of it worked good at all.

Slick 50 uses Teflon correct? Teflon is specifically not recommended for use in an internal combustion engine by it's manufacturer, DuPont. I don't know if I'd want a metal floating around clogging stuff up either.

there is no such thing as a mechanic in a can!

You know, its not that I am against all these additives or anything.I really don't know if thery work since I don't use them...I have been around motors and cars going on 30 years and I learned that the most important and BEST thing to do is REGULAR SCHEDUALED MAINTENENCE...period..
I do use and believe in Mobil 1 FULLY synthetic oil and regularly use it. I used in my family car(3.1 V-6 Beretta bought new)for 7 years and put 160k on it and that car was still running awesome when I sold it...I use it in my cars now... What was mentioned before about a mevchanic in a can is so true-info commercials are great sellers and put wrong subliminal thoughts in our heads...screw the additives and just work on good old fashioned up keep-you are money ahead... just my 2 cents....again..LOL |
wow, if mobil 1 can make a chevy 3.1 last for 160k, it must be good stuff.
|
lol-yeah,good maintenence help also...that 3.1 was a tuff little motor...I liked the car a lot..kinda wish I had another for work and putzing around in...
