What you think?
I was wondering about my 87 mustang.....Im gonna put underdrive pulleys, flexlight fan.and a cold air kit, then im gonna put a set of either mac shortys or hookers on it with an h-pipe and 2 1/2 inch pipes out the back, then im boltin on a set of street radials. What do you think i will run?
Oh its alos a 5.0 ho and a 5-speed.
I say a 13.9-14.0 with agood Driving
That flexlight fan might be Taking some of the power away But they do work good, Cool the motor Down better than the stock Fan Clutch does |
depends on the weather and your driving skills but good weather and good driving ill say 14.3-14.5 throw a set of 4.10s and youll be plowing into the 13s.
im also puting a hays clutch and hurst shot throw shifter if it makes a differnce.
im thinkin i can run either a 14.0 or a 13.90
You will be surprised...I agree with Causing Havoc...low to mid 14s...its totally different from the street-launching is different...ect.
Not trying to knock your ideals -just a reality check from someone who was in your shoes...I was so confindent about my skills and mods that 13.8 seemed plausible..not..best I could muster in the 60ft dept was 2.1 and I ran a 14.7 ....by the middle of the summer(a while back) I had it down to consistent 13.9s on slicks with a 1.80 60... Don't be dismayed-practice make perfection..thats where its at...plus slicks help!LOL good luck |
im thinkin a 14.0 or 13.90! I can drive the car pretty good to im able to launch at 4000 rpm with only spuealing the tires a lil bit.
